Scope and Goals

The IEEE Quantum Week Posters program presents excellent opportunities for graduate students, undergraduate students, researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to showcase their work and engage with the international quantum computing R&D community during the IEEE Quantum Week Exhibits. Posters are intended to stimulate discussions of recent advances, experiences, and challenges in quantum computing and engineering.

The IEEE Quantum Week Posters program presents excellent opportunities for practitioners, researchers, graduate students, entrepreneurs, and start-ups to showcase their work and engage with the international quantum computing R&D community during the IEEE Quantum Week Exhibits.

Poster Evaluation Criteria

Posters are accepted according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • Expected interest in and novelty of the poster’s topic among people in the quantum computing and engineering communities.
  • Quality of the poster submission including the actual poster.
  • Potential of the poster to advance the state of quantum computing and engineering research and practice.

Poster Proposal Submission Format

Each poster proposal submission must conform at the time of submission to the IEEE formatting instructions (i.e., title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt type, LaTEX users must use \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc or compsocconf option). The submission must also comply with the IEEE Policy on Authorship. Each poster proposal submission must include the following sections, in the order specified below. Sections 1-5 must not exceed two (2) pages. Each poster proposal submission, as as a preliminary poster, must be submitted as one PDF file via QCE20 EasyChair.

  1. Poster title
  2. Poster authors — Contact information for all poster authors and naming the main contact.
  3. Poster abstract (less than 200 words) suitable for the IEEE Quantum Week 2020 website.
  4. Poster relevance to the fields of quantum computing and quantum engineering.
  5. Extended poster abstract —  a detailed description of the poster including references. 
  6. Actual poster — preliminary poster — at most one page in PDF format. Note the final printed posters should not be larger than the standard size of 24″ x 36”.

Important Poster Submission Requirements

  • By submitting a poster to IEEE Quantum Week 2020, you are making a commitment to register and attend the conference upon acceptance of your poster.
  • Posters are exhibited around the exhibits area during the times of the exhibits.
  • Hybrid/virtual QCE20: Due to COVID-19, there is a fair chance that QCE20 will be hybrid with virtual components. If we will have virtual components, then we will ask poster presenters to provide a pre-recorded video for their poster. QCE20 attendees will be able to view your poster video throughout the conference and be able to interact with you at dedicated times and in dedicated Zoom rooms. Poster Submission Deadlines

  • Poster abstract submission deadline: Extended to Aug 4, 2020 — via QCE20 EasyChair — please submit abstract early
  • Full poster submission deadline: Extended to Aug 4, 2020 — via QCE20 EasyChair
  • Poster acceptance notification: Extended to Aug 10, 2020
  • Final poster abstract for proceedings submission deadline: Extended to August 12, 2020 — via QCE20 EasyChair
  • Poster author registration deadline: Extended to August 15, 2020

Poster Abstract Included In Proceedings

The poster abstract — title, authors, and abstract of at most 200 words — will be included  in the proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE20).
